Wheel Throwing (All Levels) Ages 10+

Service Description

Week long ceramics intensive! This class will teach the wheel, as well as hand building techniques! The last two days will be surface design techniques and glaze dipping. Students will make functional and sculptural ceramics in this class. We do encourage students to sign up for more than one week! All materials (clay & glazes) and associated costs ( clay recycling, kiln firings, and glaze firings) included in the cost of the class. Labor around ceramics courses - set up, clean up, clay management and recycling, kiln loading/unloading, complimentary sanding of each piece, glaze making and management, and more contribute to the higher cost of these courses. ATTIRE/TECH/FOOD -Students should wear clothes they feel comfortable getting dirty. Please also have them bring an apron and rags for cleaning up. -We are a tech free zone and ask that campers not bring handheld gaming devices and any cell phones should be tucked away in a backpack. With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to the start of the camp will not be refunded. *A $20 late fee will be charged if a student is picked up more than 15min late
