Service Description

Paint, Draw & Print Studio Grades K–5 | Teacher: Ms. Priscilla Join Slowfire teacher Ms. Priscilla for an engaging, hands-on art class where students explore the exciting world of painting, drawing, and printmaking. Throughout the session, artists will experiment with bold color, expressive mark-making, layering techniques, and creative composition. Students will create large-scale paintings, detailed drawings, and vibrant prints while learning foundational skills in line, shape, texture, and color theory. Each project is designed to build confidence while producing artwork that feels exciting and visually impactful. Young artists will explore a wide variety of materials, including: Pencil & Colored Pencil Oil Pastels & Watercolor Acrylic Paint & Ink Introductory Printmaking techniques From textured monoprints to mixed-media paintings, students will discover how different materials can work together to create rich, layered results. This class balances strong technique with creative freedom, encouraging students to experiment, take risks, and develop their own artistic voice. No previous experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Grades K-4 Taught by Priscilla Wednesdays 2:30-4:00pm March 18th - May 27th 03/18, 03/25, 04/08, 04/15, 04/22, 04/29, 05/06, 05/13, 05/20, 05/27 With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. No refunds once the course has begun and no make-ups available for group classes. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to the start of the class will not be refunded. *A $20 late fee will be charged if a student is picked up more than 15min late
