Slowfire + Rock Hands Music present Slowfire Summer Camp — creative music & art! Campers are grouped by age and rotate through hands-on music, ceramics, art, and outdoor play with expert instructors from Slowfire and Rock Hands Music. Small groups (5–6 campers per teacher) ensure individualized attention and daily variety. Campers leave each week with original art, new songs, and a short showcase for family and friends. Tech-free, playful, and full of surprises. Teacher-to-Camper Ratio: 1:5–6 (Slowfire teachers + Rock Hands Music instructors) Location: Slowfire Grove — three floors of studios, a music room, and an outdoor garden. Drop-off: 8:30–8:45AM (please do not arrive earlier). Pick-up: 3:30–4:00 PM Campers are divided into three small age-based groups, ensuring lessons are tailored to their level. Each group rotates through exciting projects and amazing instructors, offering a dynamic and personalized experience every day. Daily Schedule (Order varies by group) 🎸 90-Minute Rock Band Class Taught by Mr. Shane of Rock Hands Music. No prior experience needed! Students explore new instruments—drums, bass, guitar, piano—and work on vocals as they jam together. 🎨 90-Minute Art Class Led by Slowfire Art Staff, focusing on painting, drawing, and fun, hands-on crafts. 🌳 90-Minute Lunch Break & Outdoor Play Campers enjoy lunch and outdoor activities. 🛠️ 90-Minute Sculpture/Ceramics/Mixed Media Class Hands-on exploration with Slowfire Art Staff. Students will complete one ceramics project per week and will explore other media, such as jewelry making or papier mache. 🎲 Games, Crafts, & Group Fun Time to unwind and bond with friends through creative and playful activities. Why Slowfire Camp? Campers will expand their skills through exposure to multiple art mediums and new experiences, with projects designed to build on their abilities each week. Every day is packed with creativity and fun! We are a tech free zone and ask that campers not bring handheld gaming devices and any cell phones or apple watches should be tucked away in a backpack. Cancellation & Refunds: More than 18 days before start date: refund minus $100 administrative deposit. 18 days or fewer before the start date: no refund. Late Pick-Up Fee: A $20 late fee will be charged if a student is picked up more than 15 minutes after scheduled pick-up, and $1 per minute thereafter.
