Family Wheel Throwing Create lasting memories while learning the art of pottery together! Family Wheel Throwing is designed for one adult and one child (ages 10–15) to share the experience of learning on the pottery wheel side by side. Whether you're trying clay for the first time or looking to build your skills, this class offers a fun, creative, and rewarding experience for the whole family. Together, you'll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including centering clay, opening forms, pulling walls, shaping bowls, mugs, and other functional pottery, as well as trimming and glazing techniques. Each participant will create their own unique ceramic pieces while receiving individualized instruction in a relaxed and supportive environment. No prior experience is necessary. Tuition includes premium clay, tools, glazes, and all kiln firings. Our experienced instructors will guide you through every step of the process, and your finished pottery will be professionally glazed and fired, ready for pickup a few weeks after the session concludes. Enrollment for 1 Adult & 1 Child (Age 9-13) Saturdays 9-10:30 9.12-10.24 7 Weeks ($95/week) $760 for 2 people Taught by Belen All materials (clay & glazes) and associated costs ( clay recycling, kiln firings, and glaze firings) included in the cost of the class. With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. No refunds once the course has begun and no make-ups available for group classes. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to the start of the class will not be refunded. *A $20 late fee will be charged if a student is picked up more than 15min late
