Immerse yourself in the art of ceramics with this beginner wheel throwing course. Whether you’re brand new to clay or have dabbled before, this class will guide you step-by-step through the fundamentals — from centering and shaping to trimming and glazing your finished pieces. With plenty of one-on-one instruction and creative support, you’ll build confidence at the wheel while discovering the joy of making functional, handmade pottery. Classes include everything you need — high-quality clay, tools, glazes, and firings — with no surprise costs, just full access to the Slowfire experience! Please bring an apron and rags. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space.
