Ready to level up your wheel skills? Immerse yourself in the art of ceramics with this 13-week wheel throwing course designed for both beginners and those with some prior experience. You’ll refine the fundamentals — centering, shaping, trimming, and glazing — while exploring more advanced forms and techniques at your own pace. With plenty of personalized instruction and creative encouragement, students will gain confidence, control, and artistic expression at the wheel. Classes include everything you need — high-quality clay, tools, glazes, and firings — with no surprise costs, just the full Slowfire experience! Please bring an apron and rags. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space.
