Art of Jewelry Making @ TCS (Wednesday)

Service Description

Join Slowfire teacher Ms. Alice for an exciting and hands-on art class where students will explore the art of jewelry making, students will learn a wide variety of jewelry-making techniques while also gaining insights into how artists design, price, and sell their own work. This class encourages both craftsmanship and creativity as students learn to make one-of-a-kind wearable pieces. Projects may include: 💎 Beaded jewelry 🧵 Wire wrapping 🔗 Polymer clay charms and pendants 🖌 Ceramic jewelry (glazed and kiln-fired) 🪙 Metal stamping (personalized designs using letter and shape stamps on silver blanks) Students will also get an introduction to branding, display techniques, and simple pricing concepts, encouraging them to think like young entrepreneurs and take pride in their creations. No experience is necessary—just a love for art, design, and sparkle! Grades 5-8 Taught by Alice Wednesdays Fall 1 2:15-4pm For an additional fee of $14/day, your child can stay until 5:30 with a flex pick up until 5:40. Please let us know on the intake form. Dates TBD 9 classes This class is only for students enrolled at The Children's School. With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. No refunds once the course has begun and no make-ups available for group classes. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to the start of the class will not be refunded. *A $20 late fee will be charged if a student is picked up more than 15min late
