Alice's Adventures (6th grade +)

Service Description

Alice will take your teen on a fabulous week long adventure through major museums and cultural institutions in and around Chicago! Alice was an art history major in college, in addition to being a sculpture major, and is excited to teach students about art history and contemporary art. Travel will be provided by our very own magical van, Vincent Van-Go. Alice will also teach your teen about the CTA system and a few of the days will be navigated via the Blue Line and the Green Lines. Outings over the week will include 5 or more of the following: Museum of Contemporary Art Art Institute of Chicago Chicago Cultural Center MSI Maggie Daley Park INTUIT Center for Outsider Art Columbia College's Museum of Contemporary Photography Chicago History Museum National Museum of Mexican Art Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art, Oak Brook Elmhurst Art Museum Chicago Galleries Parents must sign a van and public transportation waiver prior to camp. Every camper will receive a Slowfire t-shirt! Students will wear t-shirts during outings for safety. With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. FEES Non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $100 required to book camp. Balance will be invoiced May 1. If balance is unpaid by May 10th, the student will be removed from camp. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to the start of the camp will not be refunded. *A $20 late fee will be charged if a student is picked up more than 15min late
