Service Description

With a Slowfire Ceramics Remote membership you will receive: -Cone 6-10 clay ( we carry three bodies: white stoneware, dark brown and speckled buff) -Custom cone 6 glazes or cone 10 reduction glazes - hand mixed -Staff will fire your work on a schedule. Please give at least 12 days for firings. We fire to cone 6 in an electric kiln on site, and cone 10 in a gas kiln at our Forest Park studio. -warm community -exhibition opportunities This membership is for adults who want to work from their home studio, and have access to bisque firings, glaze and glaze firings. You will bring in your finished work for firings, and will not work in the member studio except for the possible glazing of your work. Any outside glazes being used must be pre-approved by Brie or Noelle. By invite or with Slowfire Staff approval. Professional references required. Students must be self sufficient. Fee: $80 per kiln shelf load (26" round shelf), tallied and charged on the 28th of each month. Pieces greater than 12" in height count as double the footprint. The $80/shelf load fee covers the cost of both firings as well as any use of our glazes. Initial Registration fee of $100 includes first bag of clay, as well as a one time administrative fee. Contract and Terms of Agreement Form must be agreed to and signed prior to start date.
