POP DIVAS! Art & Music Camp Students has an amazing time building casts for their hands using plaster gauze. Each camper got to choose which hand sign to cast and later paint and bedazzle. Campers got to sketch out the shape of their vase before building them during our ceramic class. Then students made powerful and personal drawings their favorite pop divas. Once work was finished thoroughly, we made stickers, did face paint and so much more! At Slowfire, our amazing instructors guided students through each step while giving students the creative freedom to make unique & individual art. Everyday, each student has 90 days of live music with Shane from Rock Hand Music where students learned & played pop diva songs. Big thanks to our team: Alice, Metzli, Shane for a poppin week! Wild at (HE)ART: Animal Kingdom & Afternoon Enrichment Camps At both of these camps, students dived into an amazing week or creativity and fun. Campers made we made ceramic close form animal sculptures, animal masks, agamographs, Henry Rousseau Tiger Inspired paintings, and Fauvist inspired animal portraits watercolor paintings. Mornings started off with high energy drumming sessions with Hard Rock Music, setting a vibrant tone for the day. In the afternoon, students learned the ukulele, and were able to play at Scoville Park due to it's close location to The Children’s School, where this camp is. Big thanks to our team: Salma, Maisie, Priscilla, Emily, Shane and Jake for leading a amazing week at camp.
Cake Decorating Our cake decorating camp is led by Chef Kristi where students just don't decorate cakes but they planned, baked, filled and stacked their cakes. While decorating, students piped intricate designs, made & decorated fondant and made homemade sprinkles for a final touch. We keep a small environment with a max of 6 students to make sure each student can learn and bake productivity.
If your camper made ceramics, please keep a lookout as we will reach out soon regarding pickup if we already haven’t!
Thank you for supporting our small business! We appreciate every camper and hope everyone had an amazing time at Slowfire camp. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out at noelle@slowfireceramics.com
