MUSICALS! Art & Music CampCampers had a blast creating slab-built vases with sculptural details, accordion-style double drawings with Metzli, jewelry, stickers, and playful Kawaii characters with custom backdrops. Our amazing teachers guided students through each process while giving them space to explore and make their work uniquely their own. Each day included 90 lively minutes of music with Shane and Chano from Rock Hand Music, where campers explored different instruments and learned upbeat songs from a wide variety of musicals.Huge thanks to our incredible team: Alice, Metzli, Shane, and Chano for bringing so much creativity and joy to the week.Videos can be found here: facebook.com/slowfireceramics
Kawaii Cute & Afternoon Only Art CampsAt both of these camps, students jumped into a whirlwind of creative fun. Campers made Murakami-inspired flower art, ceramic bowls with Kawaii faces, self-portraits, and more. Mornings kicked off with high-energy drumming sessions from Rock Hand Music, setting the tone for each day. In the afternoons, students learned the ukulele, enjoyed outdoor play at Scoville Park, and relaxed with LEGO and block play.Thank you to our joyful and talented team: Salma, Maisie, Priscilla, Emily, Shane, and Jake for leading such a vibrant week of hands-on creativity.
Give It a Spin: Wheel CampAt our beginner pottery wheel camp, students learned the fundamentals of throwing with support from Tyler, Fernanda, Jeny, and Noelle. They practiced making small plates, cups, and bowls, and explored surface decoration with underglazes and glazes, while also building skills through handbuilding projects.
Real or Cake? Pastry CampChef Kristi led students in a week of delicious creativity. Campers created cakes designed to look like cheeseburgers, painted fondant designs, and had the opportunity to design and decorate their own custom cakes from start to finish.
If your camper created ceramic pieces, please note we will reach out soon regarding pick up details if you have not heard from us yet!
Thank you for supporting our small business! We are so appreciative of our families and we hope your campers came home smiling each day.
