🌸 Garden of Clay Join Slowfire teacher Ms. Belen for a fun and hands-on ceramics class inspired by nature! Students will create garden-themed pieces such as flower pots, tiny planters, and whimsical garden creatures while learning the fundamentals of clay construction. Students will explore a variety of handbuilding techniques, including: 🌿 Slab Construction 🌼 Coil Construction 🍄 Pressed Plates 🌺 Texture & Decoration No previous experience is needed! Beginners will build foundational skills, while more experienced artists can refine and expand their creative style under Ms. Belen’s guidance. Get ready to grow your imagination — one clay creation at a time! Grades K-5 Taught by Belen Thursdays 3:00-4:30pm Snack Time followed by 1 hour Art Lesson January 8th - March 12th 01/08, 01/15, 01/22, 01/29, 02/05, 02/12, 02/19, 02/26, 03/05, 03/12 With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. No refunds once the course has begun and no make-ups available for group classes. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to the start of the class will not be refunded. *A $20 late fee will be charged if a student is picked up more than 15min late
