Clay Ofrendas: Día de los Muertos Altar Pieces Teen Workshop with Belen Pérez — Sunday 10.12, 2-4pm Join us for a one-of-a-kind clay workshop led by artist and instructor Belen Pérez, where teens will create meaningful clay pieces inspired by the traditions of Día de los Muertos. In this 2-hour session, students will design and build small sculptures, candle holders, or decorative altar elements that can be used to honor and remember loved ones. Belen will guide students through handbuilding techniques while sharing the cultural significance of ofrendas—altars created as a vibrant tribute during Día de los Muertos. Each participant will leave with unique clay pieces that blend creativity, tradition, and personal expression. This special workshop is open to teens and offers a space to connect with culture, memory, and clay in a creative and supportive environment. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup about two weeks after the workshop—just in time to be included in Día de los Muertos celebrations. Minimum of 4 enrolled to run workshop
