Service Description

*Class for Beginning- Intermediate Student. Spin, shape, and create with clay! In this beginning–intermediate wheel throwing class, students will learn the fundamentals of centering clay, pulling walls, and forming bowls, mugs, and other functional pieces on the pottery wheel. Those with prior experience will continue to refine their technique and explore more advanced forms and surface decoration. With plenty of one-on-one guidance, students will gain confidence at the wheel while experimenting with shape, texture, and glaze. A perfect class for young artists ready to get their hands muddy and discover the joy of creating with clay! Students should bring an apron and rags to class. Ages 10-15 Mondays 4:30-6:00pm 01/05, 01/12, 01/19, 01/26, 02/02, 02/09, 02/16 All materials (clay & glazes) and associated costs ( clay recycling, kiln firings, and glaze firings) included in the cost of the class. With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. No refunds once the course has begun and no make-ups available for group classes. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to the start of the class will not be refunded. *A $20 late fee will be charged if a student is picked up more than 15min late
