Discover the joy of creating with clay in this 7-week handbuilding course designed for both beginners and advanced beginners plus. Learn to shape, sculpt, and construct functional and decorative pieces using techniques such as slab, coil, and pinch construction — all while exploring your own artistic voice. Folks with more advanced wheel technique may start to incorporate handbuilt elements into their wheelwork. Whether you’re new to clay or looking to refine your skills, this class offers step-by-step instruction, creative freedom, and plenty of hands-on guidance. Lombard Ave. Taught by Veronica With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space.
