Immerse yourself in the art of ceramics with this 7-week beginner wheel throwing course. Whether you’re brand new to clay or have dabbled before, this class will guide you step-by-step through the fundamentals — from centering and shaping to trimming and glazing your finished pieces. With plenty of one-on-one instruction and creative support, you’ll build confidence at the wheel while discovering the joy of making functional, handmade pottery. Classes include everything you need — high-quality clay, tools, glazes, and firings — with no surprise costs, just full access to the Slowfire experience! Please bring an apron and rags. Minimum Class Size - 3 Max Class Size 5 $418 7 Weeks Mondays 7:00-9:15pm 01/05, 01/12, 01/19, 01/26, 02/02, 02/09, 02/16 Taught by Belen With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space.
