Service Description

This class displays a new modern take on a traditional form of painting.Students will learn the basic elements of value and perspective that occur within a still life. Initial paintings will focus on universal objects and positioning objects in a way that reveals an underlying message. As the class progresses, students will be encouraged to bring items that hold sentimental value, so that they can create a personal story through their still life. No previous drawing skill is necessary, but it is important that the student is open to telling a story through a traditional framework. All materials are included in the cost of the class. Maximum 4 students. Minimum 3 needed to run the class. If you have taken this course before, this class builds on previously learned skill sets and techniques. Class meets 6/22, 6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27 Ages 12+ With a small ratio of teacher to student comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the 4-student class size will be perfect to advance skill sets, while also being mindful of a safe environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. Please email us if you have any concerns about the class being an appropriate fit for your child. If your child has learning needs/differences, please communicate with us before the start of the class. No refunds once the course has begun and no make-ups available for group classes. Cancellations 10 days or less prior to the start of the class will not be refunded
