Drawing and Painting - Storyboards and Still Lives This camp is a modern take on a traditional form of painting. Students will learn the basic elements of value and perspective that occur within a still life. Initial paintings will focus on universal objects and positioning objects in a way that reveals an underlying message. As the class progresses, students will be encouraged to bring items that hold sentimental value, so that they can create a personal story through their still life. No previous drawing skill is necessary, but it is important that the student is open to telling a story through a traditional framework. All materials are included in the cost of the camp. 1-3:30 June 20-24 Ages 11+ Min 4 students/max 7 students With a small ratio of teacher to student composed of dedicated teachers and professors, the small camp size will be perfect to advance skill sets, while also being mindful of a safe environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. Please email us if you have any concerns about the class being an appropriate fit for your child. If your child has learning needs/differences, please communicate with us before the start of the class. No refunds once the camp has begun.
