Service Description

Join Brie, the "Oak Park Mask Lady" for a couple hours of useful sewing knowledge. This class will take you step by step through making a pleated 3 layer mask, with a built in soft metal nosepiece. Come with any level of sewing experience, and leave with up to 3 masks! All materials will be provided including; decorative tight woven cotton for front, solid tight woven cotton for the back, polypropylene filter for middle layer, two types of metal nosepiece available, and elastic for the ears or head/neck. *If you have your own tight woven lightweight cotton you wish to use, please feel free to bring it! We will have 2 sewing machines on hand for your use. If you prefer to learn on your own machine, please feel free to bring it. 5 participants max - 3 minimum to run With a small ratio of teacher to student comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the 5-student class size will be perfect to advance skillsets, while also being mindful of a safe environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. Please email us if you have any concerns about the class being an appropriate fit for your child. If your child has learning needs/differences, please communicate with us before the start of the class. Cancellations 10 days or less prior to the start of class will not be refunded.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule private lessons, please contact us 24 hours in advance. Inside that 24 hour window, there is a cancellation fee of $25/hour. If you need to miss a group class, please let us know as soon as possible. Due to the small nature of our space, no guaranteed make ups for group classes.
