Service Description

CNC & 3D Printing in our new Makerspace at 907 S Lombard Ave Service Description: This class will be an introduction to CNC routing and 2D design. I will introduce the software, Easel, as the computer design tool. I will cover the basics of CNC routing and the students will get hands-on experience with the CNC machine. We will use TinkerCAD to begin the foundations of 3D modeling. Then build on the foundations for more advanced model modifications. Students must bring their own computer. The software (Easel) is free and web-based so they will not need to download anything. *If you have a background in design or experience with Adobe Illustrator we can use SVG files from other programs. With a small ratio of teacher to student comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the 4-6 student class size will be perfect to advance skillsets, while also being mindful of a safe environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. Wednesdays 6-7:15pm 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10, 8/17 No refunds once the course has begun and no make-ups available for group classes. Cancellations 10 days before the start of the class will not be refunded.
