Service Description

Introduction to Ceramics with Lauren! Students will learn the foundational skills of ceramics. Class will cover wedging, handbuilding with small tools, the extruder and the slab roller, small sculptural objects and the last few weeks, the students will explore wheel throwing. This class has it all and is an introduction to all things clay! Perfect for the beginning ceramics student. With a small class size of 4, students will receive personalized and professional instruction. All materials (clay & glazes) and associated costs ( clay recycling, kiln firings, and glaze firings) included in the cost of the class. Sundays Noon-2pm 9/12-10/31 16 hours of study. All materials included. $400 Max 3 students With a small ratio of teacher to student comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the 3-student class size will be perfect to advance skillsets, while also being mindful of a safe environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. If your child has learning needs/differences, please communicate with us before the start of the class.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule private lessons, please contact us 24 hours in advance. Inside that 24 hour window, there is a cancellation fee of $25/hour. If you need to miss a group class, please let us know as soon as possible. Due to the small nature of our space, no guaranteed make ups for group classes.
