Service Description

This class is held at Oak Park Township Senior Center. Slowfire Art Studios will pick up your student from Grace Lutheran at 2:15pm on Wednesdays in our very own Art Van "Van Go". Students will grow their skills through new experiences with multiple mediums, and exposure to art, while establishing meaningful partnerships with Seniors. They can expect to work in mediums such as Ceramics, Paint, Print Making and more! Parents will be required to pick up their student from the Oak Park Township Senior Center 130 S. Oak Park Ave. (Rear Door) @4:00pm. Pick up is from the REAR DOOR in the BACK PARKING LOT behind the center. September 18th- December 18th (13 sessions) 09/18, 09/25, 10/02, 10/09, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/06, 11/13, 11/20, 12/04, 12/11, 12/18 (Closed on 11/27) 2:15pm-4:00pm Min 4 students, Max 6 students $34/day (Includes Transportation from Grace to OPT Senior Center, Materials & processing for both the student and a Senior). Full cost of Class is $442. $221 due now, and $221 to be invoiced on 10/16. We are a tech free zone and ask that students do not bring handheld gaming devices and any cell phones should be tucked away. With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to the start of the class will not be refunded. *A $20 late fee will be charged if a student is picked up more than 15min late
