Service Description

Slowfire's Early Childhood Enrichment provides a complete well rounded experience for our little learners. Students will have weekly lessons in Art, Spanish, Culinary Arts and exposure to Music, Movement, Story Time and Fresh Air! This program is taking place at our new location, Slowfire Grove. Slowfire Grove is a dedicated house for Slowfire near Fox Park. Slowfire Grove has full amenities: kitchen, yard, garden, ceramics studio, music studio and an easy walk to Fox Park. Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-11:30AM 2 Day Minimum $15/hr ~ $52.50/day 5 students maximum Ages 3-5pm Child must be potty trained. Drop off to the afternoon programs at PKP Longfellow and Whittier EC available in the Slowfire van. We have car seats available, a licensed and insured teacher will be driving. $12/day Our dedicated staff and low student:teacher ratio allows us to cultivate community, create personal connections, and teach art FUNdamentals. REGISTRATION: Students may enroll on the days which work best, but need to select a minimum of two days. We do multi-day art projects and prefer to have continuity over the week. Student continuity also builds community. Families who elect to do 4 days per week will receive 5% off their monthly bill. BILLING: Families will be directly charged on the 15th of each month. There will be an initial deposit of $100 to secure your spot. CANCELLATION: Please give us 30 days notice if you need to cancel programming for your child. Field Trips: On days we have access to our 10 person passenger van, we will take various field trips around Oak Park to explore art making outside, as well providing fresh air and movement. Expectations: We expect our students to follow our community rules and code of conduct. If a child cannot follow these rules, we reserve the right to ask a student to leave our program.
