Intermediate - advanced wheel students will have the opportunity to learn how to make all the components of a teapot (body, spout, handle, lid) and put them together in this 4 day ceramic intensive with Noelle. Pieces will be underglazed and fired. Noelle will put on the clear coating- making it food safe after the workshop and pieces will be available for pickup 1-2 weeks after workshop. Noelle is the founder of Slowfire and a ceramics professor with 16 years teaching experience at the University level. Max 4 students/min 3 students July 5-8 1-3:30pm Ages 11+ 10 hours of instruction All materials (clay & glazes) and associated costs ( clay recycling, kiln firings, and glaze firings) included in the cost of the camp. With a small ratio of teacher to student composed of dedicated teachers and professors, the small camp size will be perfect to advance skill sets, while also being mindful of a safe environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. If your child has learning needs/differences, please communicate with us before the start of the class. No refunds once the camp has begun. Cancellations 10 days or less prior to the start of the camp will not be refunded.
PRIVATE LESSON POLICY: To cancel or reschedule private lessons, please contact us 24 hours in advance. No shows or failure to cancel within 24 hrs will be charged full fee. GROUP LESSON POLICY: If you need to miss a group class, please let us know as soon as possible. Due to the small nature of our space, no guaranteed make ups for group classes.
